Microneedling & Microchanneling
Collagen Induction Therapy
Microneedling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy) is a minimally invasive procedure that creates microscopic punctures in the skin. This is accomplished with a pen-like device which inserts very fine short needles into the skin. Microneedling works by stimulating the skin to produce more collagen. Thus, microscopic punctures in the skin causes mild injury to the skin and begins the process of rejuvenating the skin by activating your body’s collagen and elastin production which generates new collagen rich tissue.
This new skin tissue forms with firmer, smoother, improved texture and more even tone. This minimally invasive treatment can be performed all over the body from scalp to ankles. Microneedling improves skin tone, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, fine wrinkles, leaving skin smoother and firmer. Microneedling combined with PRP, stem cells, growth factors, and/or World’s Famous Dermatologist product line increase the efficacy of the treatment areas stated above. Microneedling is highly individualized and 3 - 6 treatments are recommended along with WFD skincare regime, proper nutrition and hydration.
Microchanneling is similar to microneedling. Microchanneling is a skin treatment where a hand- held tool with precision micro-tips are tapped into the skin creating uniform microchannels which stimulate collagen production. The mechanism of action is the same as with microneedling and obtains the same results. Microchanneling stimulates a process called neocollagenesis ( stimulat- ing, building and forming new collagen). Each microchannel is surrounded by healthy tissue that activates the healing process. In response to these tiny injuries, the body’s inflammatory healing process is activated and generates the production of new collagen and elastin. It is efficacious for hyperpigmentation and melasma by breaking up pigment mechanically and reconstructing the collage. However, Microchanneling has a unique precision tip that allows treatment for greater surface areas, is relatively pain free and clients see instant improvement of their skin as when compared with the microneedling pen. Microchanneling leads to less down time and service time when compared to microneedling. Microchanneling accomplishes this because of its tool design and stamping method. Microchanneling utilizes smaller needles (0.25mm - 1.0mm) as compared to microneedling (0.25mm - 2.5mm)
Microneedling and Microchanneling work well with PRP, WFD skin regime, and uniquely formulated serums that offer the highest quality in stem cells, cytokines, growth factors, and hair restoration. They allow products to reach deeper into the skin and boost rejuvenation. After a few treatments, the repeated healing process with the help of WFD skin regime, PRP, stem cells and growth factors build new collagen and improve the firmness and texture of the skin. The application of serums accelerates the results of reducing fine lines, wrinkles, smile lines, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, dark circles, pore size, sun damage and even stimulates hair growth. Both can be performed on all skin types and tones. Providers at WFD are highly trained and skilled per- forming services with Microneedling and Microhanneling. WFD providers determine the optimal modality based on an individual consultation/assessment. Clients have confidence and peace of mind knowing that WFD Providers are trained and certified in both microchanneling and microneedling thus offering our clients the best that both methods have to offer.
I will also add something related to PRP and its benefits with hair restoration. Do you also want information regarding PDO thread lift also known as MINT (Minimally Invasive Threadlift).
